Smaller number of hoggets on offer to previous week. Prices slightly easier, however, good demand for fleshy lots. The larger number of stag ewes on offer met with a firm trade, with a strong demand for the heavier lots. In-lambs ewes met with a mixed trade, with a brisker demand for ewes with lambs at foot.

Eleven wither hoggets, 55kg, €152.00. Fourteen ewe hoggets, 43.2kg, €130.00. Ten wither hoggets, 46kg, €144.00. Five wither hoggets 33.5kg, €90.00. Four ram hoggets, 38.5kg, €105.00. Fourteen wither hoggets, 40.8kg, €125.00. Six ewe hoggets, 53.3kg, €155.00. Seven wither hoggets, 47kg, €140.00.

Larger number on offer this week with evidence that many farmers had scanned ewes and were selling dry ewes. Strong trade, especially for the heavier ewes,

In-lamb ewes/ewes with lambs at foot
Two 4th crop ewes with single lambs at foot, €182.00. One 4th crop ewe with twin lambs at foot, €234.00. Three third crop ewes with strong single lambs at foot, €230.00. Eight second crop ewes scanned with single lambs, due in March, €184.00
